What does EPEC do?
- EPEC is an advocacy group that works to improve the professional development and education system for early childhood educators. EPEC has written several papers and provides testimony at statewide meetings.
- EPEC is a learning community that brings together ECE stakeholders to discuss professional development and education issues and share resources related to the ECE workforce.
- EPEC provides support to ECE workforce initiatives such as: CARES Plus, the Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) and Workforce Registry Pilot Project.

Colleges & Universities
The Early Childhood Professional Development and Education Collaborative (EPEC), is a group of educators and staff from state universities, community colleges, First 5 Commissions, resource and referral agencies, and other community agencies that has been meeting since June, 2006. Our goal is to realize a professional development and education system that will create and retain a well prepared, appropriately compensated workforce in all licensed early education programs in California.
